In the news today (alert)

A quick note to those that have subscribed to this blog and anybody stumbling upon it by chance during the next 3 hours.

Today Friday 29th February at 6:30 pm on BBC1 (television) during BBC London News there will be an item on the closure of Forest Hill Pools.

On Monday I was interviewed about it by Matthew Cooke of BBC London and hopefully some parts of that interview will be broadcast this afternoon. The Mayor of Lewisham Sir Steve Bullock was also interviewed on Tuesday at Forest Hill.

See you after the news.

phew! just read this on time. Caught you “casually” leaning on the fence.

It is a shame, but I’d rather have something than nothing as we have had for several years.

Yep, agree, in the rest of the interview, the part that didn’t make it on telly I said just the same, that the people of Forest Hill just want to put an end to this misery.
If the Council is unable to maintain it in good order then it’s better than they pull it off and build a new one.
Still, they should have been able to preserve Forest Hill Pools and keep it in good order. It’s a shame on the Council, no two ways about it.
